06 May YOC Foundation Hires Director of Development
The Youth Opportunity Center recently hired Laura Retter as Director of Development for the Muncie, Indiana based youth treatment facility. A versatile and innovative leader, Laura has nearly 15 years of experience leading teams through strategic development and solution-focused planning. Her professional experience includes serving as Director of Marketing and Business Development for a variety of companies.
Laura is an empowering executive with a passion for people-development, hands-on tactical execution of strategic plans, and leading organizations to achieve optimal success. She received her bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Communications from Principia College. She also earned a master’s degree from Northeastern University.
In her role as the Director of Development, her primary role will be to lead the work of the YOC Foundation as Executive Director. This role includes leadership of all foundation strategy and execution efforts to accomplish the fundraising goals of the YOC Foundation. She will also be a member of the YOC’s Executive Team and will be directly engaged in business development and overall organizational leadership.
In addition to her professional activities, Laura is a member of Winchester Tri Kappa Philanthropic Sorority and National Association of Professional Women. Laura also volunteers with Cancer Services for Randolph County.

Laura distinguished herself through the interview process and our team and board of directors believe she will bring vision, energy, and follow through to this role,” stated Youth Opportunity Center CEO, Rick Rowray.
