11 Sep Youth Opportunity Center Hires Controller
The Youth Opportunity Center recently hired Suahil Housholder as Controller for the Muncie, Indiana based youth treatment facility. Housholder has over 20 years of experience working with finances and accounting in a business setting. In her experience, she has acted as a director and supervisor of books and budgets for a variety of companies, industries, and projects.
Suahil holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Accounting, as well as a Master of Business Administration Degree from Anderson University. Housholder is also a Certified Public Accountant. She began her career in various financial roles in the Cayman Islands where she lived until 2003 when she returned to Indiana. In 2006 she returned to her Alma Mater, Anderson University, where she worked in various roles and offices around the university, including serving as the Controller until joining the YOC.
In her new role as Controller with the Youth Opportunity Center, Suahil will assist the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with any financial and accounting needs of the multi-million dollar non-for-profit organization, including, but not limited to: preparing and reviewing monthly financials, maintaining the organizations cost-report budget, and assisting with the annual audit. In addition to her professional activities, Suahil is married and has two children. She volunteers in her free time to charitable efforts within the Anderson Community.
